Pippi Longstocking Grows Up

So,  I’d extend the respects to most of the parents in the world. Parenting must be one of the hardest jobs among all the professions. You will have to switch to the Multi-Task mode when you have a kid around.

I was confused about what “my daughter” exactly needed and felt so hard convincing her not to pursue the weird gifts for her next birthday. And my attempt to practice “mom & daughter talk” was a fiasco. The little girl paid no attention on what I said.

I’ve always been wanting to try that after I learnt this way of education from an American couple.  It’s usually a ” father & son ” talk when a boy reaches to the certain age. Mother will not be the part of the conversation since it is a talk between “two men”.The father will share his experiences with the son about how to be a real man, about how to manage his life, how to choose the career and the proper ways to treat girls/boys. I myself found this way of education is quite encouraging. Most traditional Chinese parents simply don’t do this, they assume that the kid will always be the kid, so to talk equally with the kid is something unacceptable.

Hopefully the girl wouldn’t think I’m a creepy educator! We had a happy day, I presume…And again to offer my respect to the parents then heading to shower. I’m burnt out~
