I met Chen Guangcheng at year 2006 in a workshop for Chinese grass root NGOs. He was called as a lawyer at that time, a shy and honest man. He was working hard to rescuer the rural women who are detained by the local government, for the reason that they are against one child policy. However, I didn’t pay much attention on him because there were someone else seemed “cooler”-another human right activist. But he still earns my respect by dedicating himself to the business of grass root NGO and helping people in the most undeveloped areas without calling attention. One has to be mentally strong to do that job. (I had been wondered what’s his motivation. But my tutor said that I’m mundane and tend to over analyze that, which might strangle my passion towards life. I think he was right. )
Christian Bale on the other hand, is nothing but a western celebrity. As I’m a suspicious one, and according to the western “tradition” that one behaves like a human rights fighter in order to let people know that he/she has some sort of critical thinking ability or not that boring. I choose to wait for while to give him some credit.
