What education means to us? The question has captivate educationists, teachers, parents and students themselves for a long period of time. Knowledge accumulation and sharing, career-oriented training or one of the ways to explore the unknown?
Sir Ken Robinson ostensibly challenges the “education” in today’s world, is actually providing the idea of how we educate kids for tomorrow’s world. Some may not agree with such an assertion under the pressure of practicability, it is the dictator of our society after all. While, the world never lacks of the conformists who pander to “what we take it for granted”. To encourage the diversity of humans’ talents, to generate the possibilities as many as we can. That’s the solution for individual as well as the society at large in the long-run.
I personally standing by the speaker, even it’s against the prevalent/acquiescent opinion that education is utilitarian in this society. My kid will have the alternative to postpone going to the college or not going.
